Powwownow offer a free conference calling service which requires no booking, billing or fuss. They also provide a free web conferencing service.
Brief
Like any start-up, powwownow needed to make lots of impact with only a very limited budget. Powwownow wanted site visibility within leading search engines and to rank for specific ‘conference calling’ and ‘web conference calling’ key terms.

Base One realised that, in order for powwownow to achieve a strong online presence, a carefully structured search campaign would have to be applied. Base One analysed and identified potential keywords and optimised the site accordingly. The content throughout powwownow was reviewed and a major link building campaign was implemented.
Results
Within their first year of start-up, powwownow obtained 81,690 visitors. Not bad, considering the previous year they had no website, no online presence and no customers. As a result of Base One's search campaign, a strong brand loyalty was established. Within the first year, 28% of their visitors were returning customers.
After looking after the powwownow account for two years, the results still look very prosperous. The average monthly visits increased by 21% from 2006 to 2007.
